I always thought that guy was great, discovering/harnessing Alternating Current, finding ways to power lamps remotely with out lines or wires.  Human lightening bolts and the like.  The man was a genius, and OCD, and died a pauper.  (conspiracy theorists wonder at this; he pitched a 'death ray' between 1 and 3 days prior to his death, and the FBI took all his stuff...)
