Great Opening Lines

Reminds me of Guns N Roses, "Mr. Brownstone" - but it's not quite right.

Plus there's something else tugging at my memory, I can hear that second line but can't place it...

So is it misquoted Guns?
Never mind all that up there. This is about 30 seconds later. Of course. Duh...

"I got no time for livin', yes I'm workin' all the time."

Rush, Working Man

Gimme a sec to find a good one...
Bwahahaha, I've got it. Let's go outside of metal.

"I guess I should've known by the way you parked your car sideways that it wouldn't last."

I think I know that one but I can't be sure - I think it's Prince - Little Red Corvette

If I'm right....

The bio-sphere, the place we live
It seems like we don't give a damn

I'm hoping mine is not too obscure - but it is the most scrobbled song on last.fm by a pretty well known band.

Nuclear Assault - Critical Mass
(I had a good feeling when I read the line, so I put on the song, turns out I was right. Technically, it was a guess, though.)

High in the sky where eagles fly
Morgray the dark enters the throne

Black Sabbath - Children of the Sea

Do you believe in love?
Do you believe in destiny?

Gods of War Arise by Amon Amarth! And how do I know that? It's the only Amon Amarth song I know :D

Okay, I might come off as cheesy, but here goes:

Are you ready Steve? Uh-huh!
Andy? Yeah!
Mick? Ok!
Alright fellas, let's gooooo!

This takes me back. The Sweet - Ballroom Blitz.

It was bands like The Sweet, etc. that got me into guitar based music. And I've not looked back since. :D

Again, outside metal.
When they kick out your front door, how you gonna come?
With your hands on your head or on the trigger of your gun

Yes! Sweet is an amazing band with an amazing sound! You just don't get these kind of tones in metal. :ok:
