Ghost

I have been listening to the Rite Here Rite Now album recently. It is fantastic, but the only song I don’t think that is as strong as its studio counterpart is Spillways. That is one of the best songs in the last 5 years by any rock band IMO, yet I don’t think it translates live. As much as I love the backing singers, they oversaturate the song.

I haven't bothered this time, even though they put on a cracking show.

I think I'm just Ghosted out these days, as well as tickets going up.

With a young family and prices going up, I can’t justify going to big gigs anymore. Maiden is different and I have a sweater saving account for that, but there is montage hair band I would like to see.

Local gigs from now on!

I've only seen them once, supporting Metallica, and I didn't know their music then. That show actually turned me on to them so 2025 will be my first time as a fan.

I've seen them 4 times going back to the Infestissumam tour, should have been 5 but they cancelled at Donington one time. Not seeing this tour as they aren't playing here, not sure I could be bothered to travel to specifically see only them.

This will be a fun concert movie.

Havent seen the movie but listening to the album this week, its pretty shit, no tracks off their best album, average stuff from the most recent album, terrible version of If You Have Ghosts with a particularly cringe spoken word part basically saying if you have hard times though shit thats life, and stage banter such as "one more up the poop chute"

The movie is all about spectacle really. It's basically a very well filmed concert experience with a small bit of back story and some a light comedy. The music is just what they did on their last tour on the back of whatever album had previously come out

Couldn’t disagree more. I think it is an excellent album. The band are on fire and the backing vocalists are killer. I like how they have leaned into the more commercial stuff. I think it’s better than their earlier albums.

Agreed, it's a great live album and the vast majority of songs are not present on the previous live album (Ceremony and Devotion), so even as a soundtrack it presents something new.

I like their commercial stuff too, their songs having proper hooks has always been the big selling point for me, I just don't think Twenties or Kiss the Go-Goat are good songs at all, at least Hunter's Moon isn't on it.

I agree on those songs. They are not the strongest.

Oh God the goat song is not a high point of their career. Amusing for all of about 30 seconds in the context of the Papas' back story, but I didn't see the need to repeat it
