I heard some Americans asking other people (as in other nationalities) do they celebrate 4th of July. Don't get me wrong I'd love to have both 1st and 4th of July in our country's official holiday schedule, unfortunately it don't work that way

As much as I use to love the fourth, I don't like it too much anymore. It's like I'm expected to go out, deal with the crowds, find parking, meetup with friends, etc, etc. It's such a big hassle for some fried food and fireworks.

It's truly a wonder how many Americans sound like they grew up in a closed society like North Korea despite living in the country that preaches open society more than anyone in the world.
