First rock and first metal album you heard

First metal album might have been Linkin Park's Hybrid Theory. "nu metal, how embarrassing" :P

Not a fan of their newer stuff, but the debut album is still very dear to me, hate to admit.

Pretty sure my first Metal album was NotB. I downloaded it after having a pretty decent collection of maiden songs, and from then on I started listening to their albums one by one.

I have no idea about the rock albums though. May have been soemthing by Pink Floyd.

Hard rock: STYX--- The Grand Illusion.  My parents had it on 8 track.  I can distinctly remember belting out "Come Sail Away" with my brother when I was about 8-9 years old.  I still absolutely love that album.

Metal:  Quiet Riot--- Metal Health.  Cum On Feel The Noize... yeah.  People of a different generation have no idea how big and influential that album was when I was in middle school.  Still get a kick out of it when feeling nostaligic, but that's about it.
