After highly successful last album Time And Again (2026), Maiden did one last tour then another high praised album, acoustic folk metal masterpiece Annwyn, and after that disbanded. But... after a two year and a half a year, they all suddenly felt that unmistakable creative itch. They gathered in Bahamas Battery studios and in the studio recorded one more album. There was no subsequent tour after that. But that album, was a such slam dunk, and of such unimaginable greatness, that metal community went completely crazy and never recovered.... This is it, my friends! This is true art.
This album is not Powerslave II or III. In fact, it's very in the vein of Piece Of Mind + Seventh Son + The Chemical Wedding.

It was the first time ever that Iron Maiden would release 2 albums in the same calendar year. Doing this at the end of their career, plus both rating "Masterpieces" (11/10) it's quite a mind blowing. Including Time and Again that totals to 3 masterpieces -rated albums in a row, a never before repeated feature in the history of R'n'R! The album was widely successful having sold 3 million copies in California alone. @GhostofCain They are included in the R'n'R HoF the following next year leaving out Beyonce (she had just released the flop album Buoyancy) and Britney Spears (with the album British Spoon).

Second (according to other sources @____no5 : third) Maiden album, released in 2032 out of the retirement. Metal community in awe, Ulrich in envy smashed his drum set, Tobias Sammet reclused in monastery, Blackmore immediately reformed Rainbow, while residing in retirement home. Yet another Ace!
