Favourite Songwriter

i choose steve( its hard to choose), lets put it this way:In blood brothers theres much pain and emotions, and steve wrote it in a very genious way, but still- almighty H is ALMOST as good (personal favourite of H: Paschendale) but as steve is the founder and wrote the most of the texts so i voted for him

Because his songs really have meaning to me, with my favorite of his being Wasted Years.
 
Shouldn't the crazy "Adrian Smith wins everything polls" be kept to Peter Purvis only? In this section of the forum people actually do want to vote and listen to other peoples opinions, not be pissed off by an annoying H fetish.

Ok So Steve is the founder member and writes most of the songs but it's got to be a collective thing that makes them sound so great. the Smith/Dickinson/Harris songs are timeless and the Gers/Harris tunes are always powerful epic rousers. But if I have to pick one out it's got to be Adrian. I dont know why but Maiden just werent Maiden 1990 - 1999. People accuse his songs of being too mainstram. Mainstream??? I dont think so . 22 Acacia Ave, Paschendale, Back to the Village, Moonchild?? My favourite all time Maiden songs are Smith penned. And his work with pop band Steps when he wasnt in Maiden just rocked

At the moment my favorite song writer is Tom Russell, but as he has nothing to do with Iron Maiden I guess I should keep that to myself
 
Too hard! I love H, but Harris has written some true Maiden classics. So ultimately, he will get my vote. But the 3 songs H wrote by himself are amazing: Wasted Years, Sea Of Madness, and Stranger In A Strange Land  :D

Paschendale: Smith/Harris Need I say more?  :ok:
