IIRC, Sonisphere is the weekend before Wacken, right? Wouldn't it make sense if you went to Germany straight after that, stay at my place a few nights and we go to Wacken together?

To Wacken? There's a rather big convoy heading there from Berlin this year, and I made inquiries on whether there's a spot available for you (there will be).

Perhaps not unimportant: Heaven and Hell are playing in the Netherlands on August the 1st. This separate gig might indicate that Maiden skip the Netherlands. Because, if Maiden would play the Netherlands, then why would Heaven and Hell do another one?

Sounds logical.  I'll be seeing them at Sonisphere along with Maiden and Slayer, and though I shouldn't complain, I am a bit worried about them all playing on the same day.  It will probably be physicall quite exhausting to see them all in a row, not to mention the practical problems of eating, drinking, and bathroom break(s) in between their sets.  I probably won't be seeing Maiden from anywhere near the front...
