I disagree. If there's been a historic problem talking to women, talking to "safe" women is a good start - as long as you don't get your hopes up.
 
Hey, I just said the host had a surprisingly hot sister. I didn’t want to marry her or anything. Besides, I have no problem talking to women, only the ones I have big feelings for. I agree about talking to “safe” women, though - practise is always useful.
 
No offense here Saap, but you getting drunk at parties and talking to girls (who are probably drunk too) that have boyfriends, regardless if it's well intended or not is probably not the best idea. If you want practice I recommend Tinder.
 
I wasn't looking for advice. I'm going to another country for a couple of months so if I wanna talk to a hot girl just for fun before I leave, that's what I'll do. Girls who are in relationships are often more outgoing than single ones, maybe because they want a change from their boring boyfriends. If there are 4 girls at a party and 2 of them are in relationships and the other 2 are plain boring, why wouldn't I talk to the taken ones? I'm not gonna tell them I wanna fuck them, Jesus, I know my limits very well...and in that regard, fuck Tinder, I couldn't care less about chatting to someone online. I'm curious about trying the app but that's completely irrelevant right now. Didn't want to be an asshole, Collin, but you must've got the wrong idea about all this.
 
I must've done something horrible in the past if a simple straightforward drunk post is being grossly over-analyzed like this.

It’s possible I did. I’m still under the impression you’re looking for a girlfriend. My personal experiences with trying to date “taken” girls is pretty horrible. Things also sound a bit different when it comes to dating when compared to here in America.

Yes but I can talk to a hundred girls, knowing full-well that they're not going to be my girlfriends. It's about socialising, improving verbal skills, not trying to get super close with somebody. I really don't think kids younger than myself have anything to teach me on this topic.
