Mike Mangini looks more like John Myung than John Myung himself does now!

Petrucci's 'stache is out of control. That thing is so big JP probably claims it as a dependent on his taxes.

Learned part of the song (everything until after the solo)! Here's a bit of a sloppy rendition of it:

Main challenge was just remembering the form, it isn't exactly a typical structure.

After the first listen, it's not too bad, it reminds me of About to Crash. I definitely could get into it.

The Gift of Music is a pretty great song. I've been very critical of Dream Theater over the last few years because I was getting tired of their completely unstructured songs full of wankery and way too much sentimentalism. But after their last album and now the upcoming one, it seems like they are improving upon this. It's like their cutting out all the fat and focusing in on all their great aspects. Granted, I've only heard one song from the upcoming album, but so far it sounds great. I am expecting something much more sprawling and compact than the last record, but I'm hoping it stays focused like that album.

It's really close to the Iron Maiden concert in Montreal, gotta see if some locals are interested.

Hmm.. Chicago on April 30. I'd be willing to go, but it's honestly going to depend on how much I like the new album. Since it appears they will be playing the whole thing live, I'd hate to spend good money on a ticket and then find out I don't even enjoy the album that much.

Same here. Also depending on how expensive tickets are.
