Having seen spoilers for the 2003 "Give 'Em Ed" US tour, I was very excited, as I'd get a chance to see some Maiden classics that I had not seen before, such as Die With Your Boots On, Revelations and 22 Acacia Avenue. However, when I saw the US show, I was somewhat disappointed, largely because they chopped off several songs, including 22AA, which is one of my favorite Maiden tunes. The show only wound up being an hour and a half. If I remember, Maiden blamed curfews for the short set, but for the Chicago show I attended, they were done at least 20 minutes before the curfew. Has anyone heard any other reason why the US shows got stiffed?
Also, I was very disappointed in the fact they did not do an extensive US run for Dance of Death, which had some of the better songs Maiden had done, including the title track and Paschendale. At least I got to see Dance of Death played live during the pre-Final Frontier tour in 2010.
