Deep Purple

Amazing how they're still recording great quality albums and still touring and they're not living from playing the old famous tunes.
Deep Purple should be an example for Iron Maiden. Ian Paice and co. are all 80-/+ old and still doing a fantastic job as musicians. Steve Harris and co. can take the same road. It should be great : less touring (but still doing shows here and there) but recording more albums (and taking less time between them (between 'Infinite' and 'Whoosh!' only 3 years, between 'Whoosh!' and 'Turning To Crime' only 1 year). :)

Deep Purple arguably play more dates than Maiden (for example, The Long Goodbye Tour supporting Infinite had 170 shows between May 2017 and December 2019), yet they still manage to release new albums more often these days.

They are not as prolific in the beer department though.

Really like the two songs they have released so far, looking forward to getting this album.

It seems the band are quite proud about it. Yesterday in Madrid they played 3 songs off the album (A Bit on the Side, Portable Door, and Bleeding Obvious) and this would not be released until late July!

I agree on Purple's recent albums being fantastic, pretty much all solid gold from Rapture of the Deep onwards. But Gillan admitted he's content on DP being an "underground" band these days (21st century). I don't think the Maiden camp is ready for such a statement.
