Death

I got into Death when the Ultimate Revenge 2 introduced me to them. I bought Leprosy and SBG and was blown away. Then Spiritual Healing released and was my favorite! I saw them tour but sadly during the 2nd song, idiots near the stage knocked the mike stand into Chuck's lip/mouth and then started throwing ice at him. Band ran from stage and a riot ensued!

When Death changed to Prog metal with next 2 releases it was a big change for me that took years to appreciate. On the tour for Symbolic they announced a show here in Houston so I went with a buddy even though I didn't own the lp yet. Was a great show where they opened with 1 of my favs Spiritual Healing!
Later I bought the cd because I enjoyed the new songs live.
Glad we went because that was the last show Death played here!

I LOVE the next and last lp. I found it more accessible than the previous one Symbolic and quickly get into and remember specific songs.
Unfortunately the tour didn't hit here (played other cities around us but I wasn't aware at the time.

Fast forward to years later and me and my nephew got my son into Death. We then took him to see both Left To Die as well as Death To All and we had a blast!

I remember I was around 17 when I had a copied Death tape with Human on Side A and Individual Thought Patterns on B. Never liked their earlier stuff although Leprosy has a few great ones. Spiritual Healing song is fantastic!

Looks like roadrunner are finally reissuing Symbolic on vinyl for the albums 30th anniversary.

Been wanting this album for ages on vinyl, had my cd version ever since it was released but now have the vinyl on pre order.

Hopefully this will piss off all the scalpers flogging copies on eBay for hundreds :p
