I've seen those guys live back in 03 or something. Very cool.

There is also this band, they sorta gained popularity around the same time.

I couldn't get into the Death and Roll styled Entombed stuff. It just seems to lack the energy and inspiration of those first two albums. Which is too bad cause those two albums are so good.

When I listened to more death metal, I was a big fan of Autopsy. Since no-one's posted any yet...

Favorite death metal album ever is Symbolic from Death. Also love Consuming Impulse.

YES. I still remember buying this from Virgin Megastore with a gift voucher I got for my 14th(ish) birthday. This was the track that got me hooked on Pestilence:
