Agreed with bared teeth, yet it always disgusts me when people underestimate Janick, easily the most entertaining live (no competition), which is a reasonable part of a live show, + since the turn of the millennium as a songwriter annihilates Dave and also beats Adrian by a margin.

Yes buts the ironic because unless hes in a room with Jonh Bonham he'll always be the best drummer in the room imho
 
Honestly guys Ive been listening to a few bootlegs of this tour and I hate to say hes nowhere near the level. I think some of you are just so blinkered that you won't have a bad word to say about Maiden. I really think they could do much better. But hey ho, arry's happy with him and it seems like all of you are so fuck me lol

I have seen a few shows of the first 2 tours and i attended to 1 show. I dont see that bad perfornance. I did realized the difference of the sound but i still think is not that bad as people say. He plays the songs like the records but he sounds different.

Most every poster I've seen recognises that Simon is a huge step down from Nicko. I'm not sure who you're arguing with at this point. The most argument you're going to get is "Simon is doing fine, considering".

After two years and knowing that Maiden absolutely do not care about moaning on message boards, calling other fans blinkered because they don't want to spend every waking hour laying into Simon feels very forced.

We all miss Nicko.

Yes, simon is no better than nicko
No,i dont see a disaster
Just a few people apart from here make a big deal about simon being in the band or being an error. And im based on what i read on the coments on youtube videos. Just a few people point that.

Ive seen other bands with bad drummers and you realize the disaster. For example manowar.
 
Feels like we're all repeating ourselves now. There is a definite going-through-the-motions lifelessness that has pervaded their sound since Simon got behind the kit but it seems this is what they're sticking with.

Yeah im gonna shut about it now. I was more making a point that I just dont get people saying hes doing fine. I just dont agree. What I do agree with is is that hes got the gig and going nowhere and I need to shut up about it lol. Anyways good luck to the guy
 
But it would be a strange discussion forum if we stopped sharing our opinions about Simon. I had thought that we’d now be seeing the best and most confident Simon yet.
And then, based on the videos, I got the impression that the opposite was true - that he was playing with less confidence, and I was surprised. That’s why I commented.

We can talk about it of course but what i mean is that the disaster some people say he is is not the general feeling apart from this forum. We know more about maiden than the general thats a fact too. Lol.

This is ridiculous. Bruce is regularly eviscerated in every single tour thread for the last 4 or so years. We're definitely not shy about criticizing the band lol

That's the thing, opinions are subjective and people can have wildly different views :cheers:
 
But seriously, do you really think nobody said - or at least thought - “what if we had been that brave”?
That would be a strange act of ignoring the elephant in the room.
