Change some of the Maiden setlists

A couple '90s setlists. Firstly, Fear of the Dark. There were twelve songs on that album and only five got played. Let's rectify that.

The 2010 tour (celebrating the Reunion era) was the reason why they played only 5 songs from TFF album live, but I still think they should have played more new songs (two more or at least one). It's not fair to the album. Bruce was amazing on this tour. ''The Alchemist'' would be a very good live song (the case was the same with ''Montségur''), it was an obvious choice. ''Isle Of Avalon'' would shine even more live (that chorus and atmosphere). My pick would have been ''Starblind'', although it's a hard song for Bruce (like ''The Talisman'').
- the only song in your setlist that I would change is ''Blood Brothers'' for ''2 Minutes To Midnight''. Kudos for adding ''Brave New World'', this song should make a return someday. Great setlist.

Strange decision for this tour, like for TBOS tour when they played ''Tears Of A Clown'' (I like it, but it's not a good live song imo), while great live songs like ''Shadows Of The Valley'' and ''When The River Runs Deep'' were not played.
Even for AMOLAD 2007 tour... I know it's because they played the whole album live in 2006, but for the 2007 leg the new songs were (again) only 5 - the two singles, two great epics and one song with anthemic chorus. There was room for two short songs in the setlist, I think: ''The Pilgrim'' is a great live song (they should have added backing vocals during the pre-chorus, btw), ''Out Of The Shadows too (similar vibe as ''Coming Home''). ''Lord Of Light'' is a long song, but it's amazing live, ''The Legacy'' is a great song, but too specific and hard for live performances and the chorus of ''The Longest Day'' is not so good live imo.

Awesome setlist, but you forgot one song... Eddie will be angry if they remove it from the set. :p It's mandatory.

Meh, the eponymous song is a waste of everyone's time, IMO. Never liked it, never will.
 
The Book of Souls to me feels like a modern Powerslave-type album. Almost every song would’ve been huge live. This is a pipe dream setlist for a less intensive tour than we got.

World Slavery Redux

I love Powerslave. I think every single song on it could have been an absolute hit live. So… what if Maiden played the whole record live on the World Slavery Tour? And what if they kicked things off with a little ‘greatest hits so far’ set before hitting everyone over the heads with the full new record? And then what if they do a little encore afterwards? So, consider:

The Ed Huntour was Maiden's chance to redefine themselves live on stage with with their iconic vocalist back in the band and, for the first time ever, a three guitar line-up. The biggest thing that hurts about Bruce rejoining Maiden is that his solo career pretty much shriveled up and died. But Steve has had occasions of nabbing a Bruce solo work and including it as part of a proper Maiden album... what if the band had played a couple of great solo Bruce tracks live on the Ed Huntour so as to bridge the gap between the two worlds? Below is my stab at reworking the setlist to include them.

Unfortunately "The Clansman" gets the axe, but it's not a big loss as next year it would be incorporated into the Brave New World Tour. Also a the band rotates a couple songs setlist to setlist, for a little more representation across the tour, and "Futureal" gets bumped up a little earlier into the setlist. Overall? Not a bad bunch of songs with which to announce that Maiden was affirmatively back, and a couple additions to soften the blow for solo Bruce fans. No big epics, but that will be rectified with future tours.
