Bloody Lord Whatshisname
Invader
Growing up, I only had a dog. Half of the family was allergic to cats, and the others who did have cats didn't care for them very well, and they ended up being nasty. I liked cats, but had a bad impression of them.
Years later, being grown and married, we had no pets, until a fateful day when my wife and I discovered two 6-week old abandoned kittens in a bush. We took them in, and they bonded to us immediately. I had no idea having cats could be this special or rewarding. Now, two years later, we have four of them - all rescues. There's the original two sisters we found, a giant siamese boy who made residence on our deck one Summer, and a small but feisty little black cat who was abandoned by her owners when they saw she was pregnant (We raised her three kittens and adopted them out, and kept the mother).
Definitely cats over dogs. Though they get annoying and needy sometimes, I couldn't be without my four little beasties now.
