Indeed. Who knows if they've even had a chance to finish vocal tracking on the album.

Metal Hammer is supposed to have an article on Maiden in the issue coming out at the end of this week. I wonder if that will be postponed/changed as well.
 
This is so crazy. I was so excited for the new album, and I've never seen them live and had told my wife next time they came to the USA I was going to go see them come hell or high water or bankruptcy. I'm so deflated, becalmed at sea with nothing in sight. Ugh, this makes me sick to my stomach. Seems like a cruel joke due to the location. Hope Bruce gets well soon, he has written some of my all time favorite songs and seems like a generally great/nice guy. Well wishes for he and all his loved ones.
 
Bruce has asked me to thank everyone for their tremendous support and kind wishes. He has been extremely touched and encouraged by the genuine and affectionate response from our global family of Maiden fans.

Radiology is cumulative and continues to build in the body for around three weeks after treatment, so even though Bruce’s seven week course is completed, he’s had a long period of considerable pain and discomfort. He is happily now starting to recuperate and the pain will continue to abate and the swelling to reduce for the next couple of months at which time he will be able take an MRI scan. It is not until then that we will have full confirmation that the cancer has been completely destroyed. However prognosis continues to be extremely good and everyone is optimistic for a full recovery. Following the scan, we will officially update you on our website at the appropriate time, probably in late May.

After that, it will take a few more months for Bruce to get back to full fitness. Naturally the rest of the band are totally supportive and Maiden’s plans will be determined by Bruce’s progress.

Please continue your positive thoughts. They are very much appreciated.

First Nicko, now Rod : I'm glad they take the time to give us some news on a regular basis. At first, I feared there would be simply nothing till the end of may. It is very positive.
 
Yeah, that seems like good news. But, it looks like it is one of those deals when we just have to wait and see. I am sure the days seems like weeks for Bruce and his family. May cannot come soon enough

I heard that Bruce has finished his cancer treatment on Swedish radio today. Then they played 'Can I Play with Madness'. Made me happy to be living here. :edmetal:

Well yes, I can understand that not everybody in the Killer crew wants to wait long with trying to get another job for this year.

On the other hand: if this is true, then that would mean that Bruce cannot risk any singing, this year. I had already thought of a year without Maiden concerts.
 
This fits in with what we know.

Fact 1: Iron Maiden likes to tour during the summers.
Fact 2: Bruce won't be (hopefully) cleared of cancer until May.
Fact 3: If Bruce is cleared of cancer, he will need some months to recover.
