I’ve never been a big fan of skunkworks but thought I’d give the new Dolby atmos version a go.
It’s been so long since I listened to the album it was like listening to a brand new release lol.
Have to say if you’ve got the set up this does sound very good indeed. Still not convinced the actual album is top tier Bruce (although I did surprise myself and liked a lot more of the songs than I thought I would).

There are obvious nods to Soundgarden and Nirvana on the album too.

There is nothing groundbreaking on this album. But it would interest me to listen to an album of that time in Atmos.

Both TM and SW remixes at once, not physical releases like BTP? Bruce is really proud of the latter (better mix for the next tour is expected), I think he means ''advanced album'' for his metal side. I wonder if they will play more songs from them during the 2027 tour, but next year he will probably release AOB remix (not with TCW at once, I guess). No bonus songs or new titles.

Both albums are like separate releases in a way for him.
I think SW is curious to hear heavier, but the original production is perfect for it. Both albums don't need to be heavier, with their styles. Unlike BTP (to some extent) and AOB (to improve the sound, for some bonus songs too). The irony is that TMP needs a remix in places.
I took a quick listen. Maybe the drums are a bit touched (not sure), but overall I feel the sound is like the same for both, unlike with the re-recorded guitars for BTP.

The only thing I'd like to see improved on AOB is the sound of the guitars. They are a bit too thin for my tastes. The rest sounds great.

Agreed. The only thing I'd change, purely due to personal preference, is the snare sound, but it's more than fine as it is. And maybe have the bass guitar skewed a slight bit more to the lower frequencies and less of that upper bass.

During the end of 90s i used to love skunkworks a lot it has a good guitar sound and i dont see bruce singing that far from metal. Tattoed millionare was the worst album he has made until madrake was outBruce rocking the wizard look! No video for TM?
