Back in the Village would be cool. He played that with The Untouchables if I remember correctly.
BITV is easily my 4th favorite track from the album (and that's because the other 3 are all top 10 on my IM rank). Absolutely fantastic tune. To be fair Flash Of The Blade is the song I like the least from the record and even so I simply love it and had a ball listening to this rendition. That´s how good of an album Powerslave is as far as I'm concerned. And to be fair it marks the beginning of a three spree 8 song full lengths of nothing but awesome tracks IMO.

I think he did a fine job. Not the best version I've heard. I don't think anyone will ever top Whitney Houston.

What about drug abuse?

Apologies for the black humour based on the informal meaning of the word in British English… She was a sensational singer who died too young.

For what is worth, Bruce’s version of the Star-Spangled Banner does not even come close to Whitney’s.

I finally got to see the Bruce solo tour show last night and had a great time. Ticked this one off the bucket list for sure.

Bruce was in excellent form and he was vocally stellar all night and hit some absolute incredible notes at times. The extras - the theremin and the drums were really cool as well. Very well put together performance with the band and the stage set up.

His band was very impressive and they looked like they were having a blast on stage. I'm optimistic about the forthcoming album even though we'll have a bit of a time to wait for it. I even managed to chat briefly with one of the guitarists (the lefty) as he was standing by the merch booth when I was grabbing my shirt which was fun.

My only set list gripes, while small really, were them not playing a thing from Skunkworks and missing out on hearing Darkside of Aquarius which I believe he may have done last year. I also thought it was weird that Afterglow of Ragnarok wasn't played either, but no biggie.

Flash of the Blade was cool but honestly, if I'm at a Bruce solo show I'd prefer Bruce solo songs. He's got enough amazing ones that didn't get the set list time. Probably a weird opinion I know.

Highlights of the night for me were Chemical Wedding, Shadow of the Gods, Tears of the Dragon and Gods of War.

Maybe it was because it was a Sunday night, I don't know, but the audience definitely skewed way older than Maiden shows. Just an observation. Seems like everyone there was a slightly overweight dude wearing cargo shorts in their early 50s ha.

This doesn't quite make up for me missing seeing him in 1997 but it was still a killer show and I'm glad I went even though I'm exhausted today.
