I told you it was underrated, there you go.

Fabulous intro, great lyrics, great vocals, amazing atmosphere, nice chorus, great solos, feeling, power, everything.
 
Yea, not a big Urizen fan.

Also, I agree with Foro about promoted songs. I thought it was agreed when we took over survivors that it would be a clean slate. Hence Rush and IE survivors.
 
Gates of Urizen is great, but I don't even think it' in my top 4 off of Chemical Wedding, much less top 4 of Bruce's catalog. I mean, it's great, but when you're up against Jerusalem, King in Crimson, Book of Thel, The Alchemist, The Tower, and Trumpets of Jericho, it's hard to win. :D

Book of Thel is my 1st and Jerusalem is my 2nd favorite Bruce songs. Chemical Wedding is 5th, King in Crimson is 8th and The Tower is 9th.

Change of Heart, The Alchemist, Navigate the Seas of the Sun and The Alchemist are close to the Top 10.
 
I haven't even composed a list. Now that you mention it, my list would probably look (very, very roughly) like

That's a really interesting top ten. Nice to see love for Cyclops, it would probably be in mine too.

I dunno what my top ten would be but Chemical Wedding would be #1.

Whoa. I've never seen someone label Devil on a Hog as a favorite. Very cool! It's my third favorite from the album (behind Navigate and Eternal). :)
 
I'd like to state that I sense some huge underrating of the heavier songs from Tyranny of Souls. Both the title track and Soul Intruders kick enormous ass. Also mckindog and I are the only ones rating Silver Wings high?

Loved that song from the first time I heard it. Dont make many like that any more. So old school NWOBHM/classic rock.
But if the history of this forum means anything, we're not going to get much help.
 
My top 10 will probably come from these 23, in no particular order:
Change of Heart, Cyclops, King in Crimson, Book of Thel, Return of the King, Tears of the Dragon, Kill Devil Hill, Back from the Edge, Silver Wings, Dark Side of Aquarius, The Breeding House, Abduction, Omega, No Way Out...To Be Continued, Broken, A Tyranny of Souls, Soul Intruders, Man of Sorrows, Taking the Queen, Innerspace, Sacred Cowboys, Son of a Gun, Starchildren.
 
Tyranny of Souls is not a a contender for my top 10, but it is a great song.
Soul Intruders is OK.

I'd be shocked if Silver Wings is not in my personal top 10, and very disappointed if it drops out of this game early.
That song kicks ass like no other.
