A mixed bag on this one I think. I rate 6 of the top 10 very highly, including all of the top 4 (with Majesty being a very worthy winner). Then there's songs here that I don't even have in my top 40 BG songs. Also there's some amazing songs missing from the top 10 or not even do well at all. Valhalla, Beyond the Ice, Traveler in Time, Last Candle, Time What is Time, Imaginations From the Other Side just to name a bunch.

Not satisfied, missing way too many awesome songs, especially my favorite Last Candle. Good game though, thanks for hosting!

Thanks for hosting! These survivors are always fun for me, learning a band by trying every album in order for a survivor. Plus UO can stop badgering me now to try BG. Some observations:

• I can definitely see the appeal for Maiden fans. Lots of intricate guitar stuff and a similar mix of progressive and traditional metal. Of course BG has that added power metal element that makes them unique.
• Very consistently good band. This is good and bad I suppose. It's bad because I don't really have a clear favorite album because nothing stood out as truly great. But at the same time, nothing was bad either. Even they're newer stuff has some great material.
• Nightfall is my favorite song, so awesome.

Not sure how I feel about the top ten. Is this what a typical BG top ten would look like? Is Majesty their Hallowed Be Thy Name? Some of these songs are deserving but there are some other great ones that got eliminated way too early. Time Stand Still was my pick for the winner and it wasn't even in the top ten. Still not sure how that happened.
