Bedford is easy to get to from London. You could fly into Luton Airport and get the train. There is a lovely hotel on the river near the venue as well. It’s a Premier Inn (nationwide chain) and you can get a room for fairly cheap.

If you fly into Gatwick airport, there is a direct train from the airport to Bedford. It’s a couple of hours.

I will be at the Bedford gig and can give you lots of tips on the local area.

It's looking less likely that Blaze Bayley will do a Maiden-themed show (or any concert, for that matter) in North America. I'm considering visiting the UK in October. Am I correct in thinking that the closest shows to London would be Southend, Bedford and Worthing?

Since hooking up with the Appletons and Absolva, I think they've determined that staying (generally) close to home is what keeps the whole thing financially profitable. So personally, I'd say if you're making the trip anyway, that'll be your chance to see him live. I don't expect to see a full tour in the States from him again in our lifetimes.
