Black Sabbath

Also, Jason Momoa crowd surfing at the end of Pantera's walk wasn't on my 2025 bingo cards, but here we are...

I got really emotional seeing Ozzy and Sabbath perform. But man, what a performance still. Geezer and Tony crushing it still. Glad I got to see them once at least, 2016 in Stockholm.

The other thing for me was Slayer, to hear Araya do the Angel of Death scream this well was a sight to behold.

Overall, a great show and a fitting tribute and end. I was thinking during the show that I really like this kind of celebration show, hope we see more similar shows for other legends when the time comes.

And Metallica just being Metallica. No matter what, I still love them. In the '80s, they really knew how to write songs—structurally, plot-wise, in terms of rising stakes and tension... it's impeccable. After they finished Creeping Death, I was really hoping they'd play For Whom the Bell Tolls. And I was right, ha ha. I don’t know—this duo, live, is the most driving and iconic stuff they’ve ever done, for me. Mystical, almost like something from ancient times. Battery and Master were great too.

Edit: They're blocking videos from the show now, so I took down the YouTube link.

But the MVP award of the show IMO goes to Nuno fucking Bettencourt. Is there a tough riff? A tough solo? Well, give it to Nuno and watch.

An absolute monster. Anhilated Bark At The Moon (which Jake can't play anymore due to arthritis).

Junior's Eye

Guns and Metallica dig out some big deep cuts for Sabbath covers. But that is also proof what will happen if Maiden play deep cuts on stadium show. Crowd is taking piss break during those songs.
I think it was strange some choices. Even black sabbath. Nobody played "black sabbath" the origin of all with the tritone thing and the "devil sound" but who know maybe the bands didnt know what black sabbath were going to play. Im not sure if somebody played black sabbath or fairies and into the void

Sad to see the show. Sad to hear ozzys trembling voice and how he moved in the throne. But even in that condition he sang well. Great show with a great lineup. Cool to see smashing pumpkins singer sing breaking the law and ronnie wood and sytven tyler. A lot of rock stars there a a lot that i didnt know. The one how sang changes and i think there were at least 2 members of ghost? Singer and drummer?. And jake e lee playing ultimate sin i dont know the other who played whith him.

And no motorhead members? No mikey dee no campbell? Weird..
Mikkey Dee played the Scorpions gig the same day.

Boots were played by Alice in Chains, Void by Anthrax.

Tobias from Ghost said that bands were choosing songs which inspired them that is why some choices were strange. And he mentioned that song he want was already taken by other band.

Black Sabbath song nobody play, it seems that Sabbath set was cut short due curfew, they did not even make a final bow. I belive BS was cut due time limit.

Absolutley loved Metallica and GN'R for playing the deep cuts! The most surprising was Slayer playing Wicked World!

But my favourite has to be Lamb Of God. Especially their performance of "Children Of The Grave" (my favourite Sabbath song :edmetal:).

I personally felt Anthrax and Slayer have the most solid tones and both the bands have some tight players.

That was fantastic.
Thought Sabbath would start with Black Sabbath after the bell intro but, alas no. It's such an iconic sound that can only be replicated by these four guys. It's the only downer for me but it's a biggie.
