Best Live Album?

When reason talks : Flight 666 (probably) - the performance, the sound, the song selection are really top-notch.

When my heart talks : A Real Live One (because this is how I got into Maiden and it features the best version of "Fear of the Dark") :)

The overrated one is Rock In Rio, in my opinion, though it is part of the great ones. (it starts well but
  • Blood Brothers
  • Sign of Cross
  • The Mercenary
  • The Trooper
  • Dream of Mirrors
kills the dynamic of the show).

The only ones that are not worthy are the last two ones (seriously, wasn't there something better than "The Great Unknown" to record?) And as many have said, the sound on the latest one is disappointing.

I will listen to it in a few days. I like more real live than dead one
I vastly prefer Live One over Dead One. It's a fun, very warts 'n all listen. So is Dead One, but the band's reasoning for releasing them separately is why I prefer Live One--because Dead One is full of stuff that was on LaD and Maiden England with a few other oldies. Live One had the new stuff that wasn't on those albums.

But yeah, the bounce in the midsection of FotD was captured at its peak in Helsinki, which is why I rank Live One's version as the best one.
