You'll certainly have a more popular band with more generic songs and a lesser vocalist that the masses will perceive as "better" simply because it's on the radio all the time.

I still don't care about Doogie White, but that Tank song impressed me. Hansi beats him easily though.
Dave Grohl is a better musician overall, but Russell Allen is one of my favorites in this game, even if I take into account his tough guy vocals of the past decade or more.

I'm glad to see Hansi and Russell crushing their opponents. Both are excellent vocalists and are in two of my favourite bands. Common sense has prevailed.
I find Dave Grohl to be a bizarre inclusion in this tournament. He is a fine singer for Foo Fighters, but he doesn't really do much. I only voted for him in the group stage because he was close with someone whom I'm less of a fan of and the group also had the guy from Nightwish who is only known for being a backing vocalist. He's another round peg in a round hole. That's enough enough to be considered as one of the greatest vocalists. And to the five hearing impaired people who voted for him: Russell Allen would do a great job singing Foo Fighters but Dave Grohl would be totally lost trying to sing Symphony X or anything else Russell Allen has done.

He's the backing vocalist in an arena and festival headlining band. Has any band he's been lead singer in been that successful? No. He's only known as a backing vocalist.
Right, and the roster of this game reflects your personal, very visible, bias. You then offered your choices to Maidenfans, and they promptly rejected Marco as worthy of proceeding in the game.
