Seventh Son is my least favourite at this point in time and has been among my least favourites for a while now.
But it would more or less be a wasted vote.
Hmmm...:fencing:

Number, vote first, last, always.

If this was most influential albums of all time, I could see Number being here, but "best albums" of all time? No way.

I find it the best album. Maiden is my favourite band but nothing beats Painkiller.
It is a close call but I have made up my mind.

You stole what I was saving for posting after school.

It is also a close call for me when it gets to Maiden vs Priest but Maiden has a slight lead.

Painkiller is fantastic. But all of these remaining albums are even more fantastic.

My rankings of what is left (not my overall Top 10, of course -- there'd be some Floyd, Zeppelin and Stones in there too):

1. Heaven and Hell
2. Moving Pictures
3. Powerslave
4. NotB
5. Seventh Son
6. SiT
7. Piece
8. Painkiller

My rankings of this group would be :

1. Somewhere in Time
2. Powerslave
3. Seventh Son of a Seventh Son
4. Piece of Mind
5. Painkiller
6. Moving Pictures
7. Heaven and Hell
8. The Number of the Beast

To all who care about Priest's masterpiece: Painkiller is between the hammer and the anvil!
If it survives this round: choose wisely in the next! I guess I will join Ariana, Collin and Saap ----> vote for Heaven and Hell.

That will be a very tough choice.

Between the Hammer is my 2nd favourite song from the album (first is Painkiller of course, mainly because of Tipton's legendary solo), interestingly I started to love it again the day before yesterday. To get more specific on the superb guitar riffs, I hate it that I can't usually pull off all the pinch harmonics in the main riff. It's irritating because there's nothing too difficult about pinch harmonics but missing them takes quite a lot away from the song.

8) Heaven and Hell
7) Number of the Beast
6) Moving Pictures
5) Piece of Mind
4) Seventh Son of a Seventh Son
3) Powerslave
2) Somewhere in Time
1) Painkiller

By the way, Powerslave is very close to SiT.

Rankings? Sure why not

  1. Piece of Mind
  2. Seventh Son
  3. Moving Pictures/Painkiller
  4. Somewhere In Time
  5. Powerslave
  6. Heaven And Hell
  7. Beast

Saving Painkiller is a cause I agree with, although as HnH is not my least favourite on the list it's not the one I'll be voting for... strategically better choice or not ^^.

Briggy, if you come to the festival, I'm so enforcing Painkiller upon you..

No! I can possibly persude my bloke to listen to Maiden without pulling too many faces, but Priest he really won't stand for
