Basketball

Anyone who invests in their sport generations has my approval for winning. Basketball is somewhat a 4th team sport in Croatia, below football, handball and waterpolo. The loss of status achieved in 80s and 90s is actually less than what happened in handball, especially on the teams level. Football basically killed everything but that's another topic. In any case, my local handball team, when I followed them, had two of the best players in the world in their ranks, like the local basketball team who won three Euroleagues in a row with three soon to be NBA players, several years prior. None of that can be actually felt today, and is just there to keep the flame lit in the hope of some better times.
 
I have just finished watching this very moving documentary featuring some of my favourite basketball players of all time. Sabonis was like a God to me and I was incredibly lucky to have him play for my hometown team from 1989 to 1992.
