I never heard anything of the sort, and would also like to see a quote/source if this is true (which I'm highly doubting)
If I remember correctly (and no, I don't have an exact quote or source, but have heard this for a long time now)... Steve Harris and Adrian Smith HATE the song, and we will never see it live.
Tyek1230 said:Not that it is a bad song, but I really don't know why there is all this hype for this song. The lyrics are terrible, and the song is mediocre at best.
Jeffmetal said:It seems you don't know what you really think of the song. How can something has terrible lyrics (which definetly aren't. Some wrong facts, but are the true stories we're told really what happened?), be mediocre muscially and still be not that bad?![]()

Don't have a quote or source, sorry. Wish I did. But it has always come up in the past on several topics/forums when regarding ATG
Supposedly Adrian Smith can't remember the guitar solo (sounds bullshit, I know, but it's the story I've heard countless times), and that Steve and Bruce have both admitted that they don't like the lyrics. Therefore, they never want to play it live
See what LC says above. Still, Bruce sung it just fine on the POM tour so he shouldn't have any problem with it now.Suicidehummer said:TTAL is awesome, how can they find any reason NOT to play it?
Jonszat said:Bruce mocked the lyrics of TTAL on his last radio show IIRC.

LooseCannon said:The problem with To Tame A Land is that the lyrics are very rambling. I wouldn't be surprised if Bruce doesn't want to sing it.
Without a stillsuit you would frySuicidehummer said:The lyrics being "rambling"? What does that even mean? I think the lyrics are great.

On the sands so hot and dry
In a world called Arrakis.
It is a land that's rich in spice
The sandriders and the "mice"
That they call the "Muad'Dib".
He is the Kwizatz Haderach.
He is born of Caladan
And will take the Gom Jabbar.
I think that's what they meant... especially the last part. : P
