I'm afraid agdabavipain that indeed your posts were off-topic, we're talking about Maiden's cheap ways to make money and you complain about single releases in the U.S and places they haven't played in?

Coming directly from you :angry:agdabavipain said:yes, stupidity and arrogance all around here
On the one hand you're right. But Maiden can't possibly tour so many places. I'm not against this kind of competitions, I'm angry they charge so much. If it's for the fans, then charge as little as you can and without profiting from it. They have a lot of money and they don't need more. Also, I mentioned the x-factour launch party. Has anyone seen it? This could possibly be the main reason I called Maiden tattoed millionaires.agdabavipain said:isnt it cheap that band you like offers flies with semi-god singer for tens of us but cant play for thousands in the outlying corners of the world? maybe "share the bed and hotel room with H" would be cheap enough
I wouyld like to see it but I don't know where...SneakySneaky said:I mentioned the x-factour launch party. Has anyone seen it? This could possibly be the main reason I called Maiden tattoed millionaires.

Come to think of it, I also forgot Havanna, Guatemala... (blah blah...a LOT) ...last but not least Matâ-'Utu.
That's one of the best points made, I think. No-one has to buy this or that from them, fly a plane with them or indeed pay to meet them. There is no arm twisting here.Onhell said:I think they should profit from it, after all that is how they make their living... their living could be quite expensive so they might need more after all. As long as they make great music, granted not for much longer, I'm happy.

Was it filmed and released on DVD or what?
SneakySneaky said:But honestly they shouldn't pretend it's not about the money.
I'm afraid it is. In fact, yesterday I read an article in Focus about concerts. It would seem that the artists and the labels decide together about the prices. Also, a band usually gets 20% of the ticket price, but big names (Maiden in this case) can get as much as 50%.Yax said:But on the other hand, wouldn't it be nice of 'em to charge a bit lower for the concerts? Of course. But unfortunly, I don't think it's up to them to set the price of the tickets.
Onhell said:I highly doubt that... Most of the money goes to the venue promotor, vendor and record label, and unless it is an independant band, they have little say over ticket prices.
