Any chance of these occurring ?

Don't know why you react like this. It is a solid reasoning.

In short: you yourself have showed the unpredictabilty of instrumentals without (first) realizing it.

No I did not. I showed that this band is not interested in doing instrumentals. There's a reason why they've done song called Lost for Words, Big Horror.

1. I feel that if there was in fact an instrumental on this album the press release probably would have said something about it.

2. No chance, I don't think we'll ever see them do what they did in 2006 ever again. Man that was a special tour!

I'd be very surprised to find an instrumental on TBOS. Not to say they never pull out little surprises, but it's been a good long while. The instrumentals seemed to fit the mood of a playful, younger Maiden a lot more so than today's more serious, more mature epic-writers.

It seems to me we've already been surprised by Book of Souls. The double album, the killer art. I'm getting a vibe here of the band resurging, yet again. They are letting it rip. Nothing would shock me this time around. I believe an instrumental is very possible. The fact that there hasn't been one in awhile has little bearing IMO.
An acoustic piece would be cool too. This is so damn cool speculating on this album.

I'd be shocked if there is an instrumental .. also if they played the whole album, it would be pretty much the entire show, this album is about 20 minutes longer

Honestly I don't see the fact that this is a double album as any indication that we will be getting a drastic departure from what Maiden have been doing for the past 20 years or so. It seems like they didn't set out to make a double album, in fact without the 18 minute epic it probably would've fit on one disc. So I doubt there was a conversation like "Ok since we are doing a double album, should we try anything different?". So given the way they write now, I think an instrumental would only happen if they set out to write one and I don't think they're interested in that.
