And for the real hardcore members of the Church of Adrian Smith only, here the whole Rock in Rio concert with only his holiness playing (other members erased)!

I can hear him making mistakes much better like this. I bet he's not going to like this being on YouTube (if he were aware of it). ;-)

Playing The Mercenary now. Really cool to hear his solo suddenly popping up. Awesome.

EDIT: This is actually a great feat since his guitar is not that audible on this release.
You really can hear well what he exactly plays now.

EDIT 2: Also interesting is to hear what he is exactly doing (and not doing) during Fear of the Dark, The Clansman & Sign of the Cross. Recommended.
 
That's been on my favourites list for months. :D
I never considered myself a very religious person, though.

I hate being at work when you guys post all this stuff. I can't watch it because they're blocked! Oh well, just something to look forward to later when I get home. :)

I've not listened to all of Adrian-RiR before, but have sampled bits & pieces. It's pretty interesting, & quite useful for guitarists (like myself). Just highlights how much Maiden really are a complete sound though i.e. how relatively unimpressive (in a way) one (guitar) part is. Gives all budding axe players hope!
 
This 5.1 separation isn't relevant at all. There are a lot of '80s soundboard stereo bootlegs where you can clearly hear what he's doing, and he is not sloppy.
 
Very very surprising ;) I can understand why he was so low in the mix. I'd really like to hear the same stuff with Dave and Janick, jusk to see how it sounds.
 
Sorry, Ariana, I didn't intend to offend any of his fans, but please, I HEAR what he was playing that night.
 
I compare it to what a good guitar part is in my mind. And this stuff is far from it ; and apparently, it what so in Steve's mind.
And this is my last post on the thread, because I won't get involved in another fight with you, while I just wanted to give an opinion on what is just a piece of music.
 
I don't want to fight and I'm not trying to. I'm just saying that one should not jump to conclusions after hearing this. We don't have the isolated tracks of the others that night. If we did and they all sounded great, except for Adrian, then one could draw conclusions.

Edit: The post in which I said "You know nothing" was intended to be a joke. Making fun of myself even.
