ADRIAN SMITH SURVIVOR 2013, PART 2: Results -> The Evil That Men Do wins!

Satisfied with the results?

I had to recount that but indeed... they have the same amount of votes in the whole survivor, so the votes in the previous round will be decisive...

I never meant that you would lie! I was just surprised because I had a different feeling about it (felt that Brighter had done better). Looks like my feeling was wrong.

And mistakes can always be made, also with counting. So if there was a control, then it was a combination of curiosity to see why Brighter would be out (and to see how close it was), and to see if the counting was done well. So not because I think you'd intentionally change the score.

Pretty much why I prefer tiebreak rounds when it comes to top ten anyway. More fair/accurate, no risk of a miscount.

The risk is minimal, especially if counts are done more than once. And I'd say both systems are fair but different (Mosh checks recent/new votes, NP checks historical votes).

Yeah, Brighter had a better start, I was also surprised.

I never miscounted anything in all my Survivors, I'd be incredibly surprised if it ever happened really.[/OCD]

For my next Survivor, I'm gonna introduce a 3rd tie breaking rule which would be the amount of rounds in which a song had no votes.

The risk is minimal, especially if counts are done more than once. And I'd say both systems are fair but different (Mosh checks recent/new votes, NP checks historical votes).
The problem with historical votes (especially in smaller survivors) is that a popular song can get voted out on the grounds that one or two people were voting for it since day one. For example, in the Kiss survivor, if there was a tie between songs with two votes (which happens a lot) and Only You was one of them, I could maybe eliminate that song just because I've been voting for it since the beginning. That's not really fair. There's not much you can do about it in regular rounds, but a tiebreaker round during the top ten can easily solve that problem. It's also more interesting, because there's plenty of people voting for both songs.
