5 favorite Judas Priest albums, 3 favorites from each

1. Painkiller: Hell Patrol, Between the Hammer and the Anvil, Painkiller
2. Firepower: Rising from Ruins, Firepower, Necromancer
3. Defenders of the Faith: The Sentinel, Jawbreaker, Rock Hard Ride Free
4. British Steel: Breaking the Law, Metal Gods, United
5. Ram it Down: Blood Red Skies, Hard as Iron, Ram it Down

Ram it Down is a good heavy metal album. It almost wins on the merit of Heavy Metal, Come and Get It, and Blood Red Skies alone. To quote someone on this forum who's name I don't remember, You have been told.

I always thought the production sounds pretty heavy on it. I hear a lot of inspiration on the album. Even the Johnny B. Goode cover which I put on from time to time. To each his own however.

Ram It Down is basically a demo and B-sides collection
Ram It Down and Turbo were writen at the same time and intended to be a double disc named "Twin Turbos". But the band decided it would be a better idea to release them sepparately. Turbo featured the radio friendly stuff while RID would would get the tracks that were closer to Priest's earlier releases from the first half of the 80's .

A double album consisting of the best tracks of Turbo and the best tracks of Ram It Down would've been amazing, but it's good the way it is.

Yup.... but the initial idea was to release all the tracks plus All Fired Up. BTW... All Fired Up is one of my favorite tracks out of that era. I can't imagine why it didn't end up in either track list since it's way better than almost every tune from 86 to 88.

I don't even know that song! I'll check it out.

Looks great, I'd add one of my personal favorite Priest songs Rock You All Around The World there.
