2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil

I think Foro as a Dutchman is a bit biased. Robben is by far the player that troubles any defense. Yes we do have some other quality players but this tournament Robben stands out. My guess is that Argentians (spelling?) can name several other class players apart from Messi as Foro (and I) can name Dutch players that can make a difference.

I'm cheering for Netherlands for sure. Mostly because of Wesley Sneijder but also because they're the most enjoyable team left.

Van Gaal has said that he has never witnessed such a big team spirit before, in any of the teams he previously coached. Players can win matches. Teams win tournaments.

A little Wikipedia gem:
Interestingly, Ronaldo, of Brazil, scored his 15th World Cup goal against Ghana in Germany, whilst Klose, of Germany, scored his 15th World Cup goal against Ghana in Brazil.

Interestingly, indeed. ::)

Mario Mandzukic is miffed because you put coriander in his curry when you know he hates it.

Really curious to see how Brazil will approach the task of facing the strongest opponent so far without both their star player and their captain. Just hope that the ref doesn't feel he has to hand out yellow cards for everything because of the debate that has followed Neymar's injury.

Neuer, Lahm, Boateng, Hummels, Höwedes, Khedira, Schweinsteiger, Müller, Kroos, Özil, Klose

vs.

Julio Cesar, Maicon, Dante, David Luiz, Marcelo, Fernandinho, Luiz Gustavo, Hulk, Oscar, Bernard, Fred

Dream scenario: draw until 95th minute, then Klose scores a header from a last moment corner :D

That's his usual position, actually. Löw only changed that around for this tournament.

Höwedes vs. Hulk will be tough, but there are no better options since Schmelzer isn't in the team and Erik Durm is too inexperienced.

Germany has the best team of the Cup. He can change one or two players, the efficiency is about the same. They are the favorites.

Hulk is now Brazil's "aircraft-carrier". Brazil plays at home, which is a great advantage too.

Let's see. Where's the popcorn?

Agree with you there, @Rotam - Germany look like the best team of the tournament, but Brazil have the crowd behind them. One should not underestimate the effect that might have.

What troubles me more is the fact that Brazil think they have Jesus on their side. You know what happens when somebody believes. ::)
