2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil

Is Arne Hegerfors still around, or is it someone else who have continued the tradition?

He retired years ago.

Really impressed by Algeria, though Germany deserves credit for keeping it together and winning in the end. Part of being a great team is winning even when you play badly (if indeed this Germany is a great team).

Noone will win the World Cup playing like that :p

And you could also say the same for Brazil and Argentina, neither of whom have played particularly sparkling football in the tournament so far. :P

Germany didn't play particularly poorly yesterday, they just lacked their usual killer instinct in the final third. It was as if they were rattled. It wasn't until extra time that they actually settled down into a groove. Like all the other underdogs in the knockout stage up until now, Algeria did themselves proud, and could maybe have won the game in regulation time had their final balls at crucial moments not been so poor. But they definitely gave the Germans a scare, no doubt about it!

Both games today could be crackers! Definitely will be rooting for the Swiss in the Argentina game!
