<< There’s some very complex songs on this album which took a lot of hard work to get them exactly as we wanted them to sound>>
This make me think of tracks like Avalon or Starblind from TFF
judging by the titles, some songs seems to be strangely related, like "Senjutsu" and "Stratego" (#1 and #2 on the album), or "Days of Future Past" and "The Time Machine" (again one next to the other in the tracklist)
I believe the reason why the audio kind of sucks on the animated video is because they compressed and manipolated the dynamics of the track to make room for all the sfx (you know, explosions and other sounds). It could have been done better
this song would make such a perfect occasion to bring Michael Kenney on stage and finally acknowledge him as the official seventh maiden member. it would be perfect!
correct. and it seems that Robin Williams played one game too, so the song was probably inspired by Abery and Steve talking about the late comedian; the lyrics actually resemble a conversation
mmhhh.... i think you may be doing the same here, since i'm pretty sure it says Nicodemus - wich by the way makes more sense thans saying "my name is cemetery" (necropolis=cemetery or graveyard). If you don't know who Nicodemus was, here is some help https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nicodemus
maybe "complex" wasn't the right word - i wasn't just thinking of the song's structure, but also arrangements, solos, lyrics. There's a lot going on in a typical maiden song and you can't absorb it all listening 2 or 3 times
