Often times, companies will sponsor bands, especially ones of Maiden's caliber.  Of course a lot of bands replace instruments as seldomly as possible.  As a guitar player, I can say you get very attached to your instruments.

That's what I did too, but my reason was because I pledged that if they released another St. Anger shitshow, I would never buy a metallica release again.  I wasn't disappointed though and promptly bought the album.

Delaying gratification is the way to go.  Of course we will all purchase the album when it is released, but I really hate downloads and downloading. 

I would think that the guys aren't too upset.  The album is obviously complete at this point and all they are waiting for is the arbitrary release date.  I didn't download it, because I want to have the satisfaction of unwrapping the plastic, putting the cd in the stereo and then that second it...

For me, seeing the Powerslave cover was what led me to choose it as the first album I ever purchased for myself.  I had listened to maiden before but it was just with my dad.  I knew I loved the music, but that album was the first for me.  And they say the first album is your first love.

I had completely forgotten about that gem.  I just bought my own copy of the DOTR dvd today (been watching my dads copy to this point) so I will definitely be watchin that later.

Id say most of the Blaze material that was performed live with Bruce, the Clansman as performed at Rock in Rio is one of my all time Maiden favorites.  Bruce really does seem to put more feeling into the songs. 

Bruce was definitely a bit unprofessional, even if it was only in his choice of targets.  But we have failed to mention Sharons ridiculous idea that Bruce waving the Union Jack during the trooper was somehow disrespectful to the American troops in Iraq.  She is English, she should be fully aware...

Haha true, he was ready to sue the band if they had called the song dune.  They barely got away with calling it To Tame a Land.  Back on topic though, its cool to see which songs everyone thinks are underrated.  Each of our lists have been a little different.

Lol, fair enough.  If page said it, who am I to argue.  I do enjoy pages playing just a bit more than Blackmore's but that's just a personal take.
