My sense of objectivity suggests that if one person loves a song that the other does not like (that much), then the album just meets its aim. Darkest Hour is one such example. It does not work for me but I see that many of you like it. It just makes me happy

After more than ten sessions, my points are as follows: Senjutsu: 90% Stratego: 82% The Writing On The Wall: 95% Lost In A Lost World: 85% Days Of Future Past: 90% Time Machine: 95% Darkest Hour: 75% Death Of The Celts: 80% The Parchment: 95% (omg) Hell On Earth: 99% (due to the way it evolves...

Please post reviews and thoughts on Senjutsu here

There is a noticeable difference of sound quality between songs, and also parts of songs. The only idea I do not like about this album is the way they cut and paste and merge all (most?) bits and pieces recorded in the studio. The Writing on the Wall is a much better recording than others. They...

    Senjutsu - 3rd September 2021

As long as they have a spoiler alert, I (i.e., nobody) think it may be helpful to document them here. First impressions and reactions are fun to read even after many years. In two days, these comments will be much more refined. Ps. Send it, Maiden, I am ready to love it.

    New single: Stratego

I agree. Maybe we are in a survey...

    New single: Stratego

I have read similar comments elsewhere, but as a person who focus on the drums at a level of obsession, I cannot find where Nicko misses it. Can you tell which second you hear the problem? Overall, my only problem with the song is Bruce's low volume. I am a bit angry about it because the song...

    New single: Stratego

let alone waiting for half a month, I just wonder if I can find it now rather than 22 minutes later.

New Single - The Writing on the Wall

Plain and simple, I am loving everything about it. I cannot wait to sing it in the next tour. Ps. the visual work is fantastic.

Nights of the Dead, Legacy of the Beast: Live in Mexico City (new live album)

If it is possible to change nicknames in this forum, I want to take "Nicko's Cymbals". Nicko's Right Foot would not be bad either, however, it would do injustice to his work on hi-hat. By the way, the admin corrected "the Clansmen" on Spotify. Now it sounds even better.

Nights of the Dead, Legacy of the Beast: Live in Mexico City (new live album)

The same with the Clansman, they are 50kms away and Bruce lets them sing  By the way, I think it is fine to think that someone from the management should correct the typos on spotify.

Nights of the Dead, Legacy of the Beast: Live in Mexico City (new live album)

I enjoy this one. We should thank the Maiden crew for the effort they made for this album, especially under the given extraordinary circumstances, from which the crew members must have really suffered. As people already pointed out, it sounds so clinical, more like a rehearsal or a studio...

Nights of the Dead, Legacy of the Beast: Live in Mexico City (new live album)

We were talking about the difference between RiR and NotD, not Maiden and another band.

Nights of the Dead, Legacy of the Beast: Live in Mexico City (new live album)

Soundstage is too narrow and congested due to the overemphasized bass and drums. The highs are also harsher than I would like, exactly in the way I thought the concerts were. Steve's parts are amazing, though. Optimistically, I take it just as a different taste after RiR version.

Iron Maiden confirmed on the "Download TV Festival" - June 12-14

Though it may have been done a bit differently, I support their general approach of not talking about everything that happens--be that a political, economic or an environmental crisis. When you begin talking about one, people will expect you to talk about more and more. A little bit of distance...

Iron Maiden confirmed on the "Download TV Festival" - June 12-14

For me, the profit of yesterday is the Reincarnation, a classic that perhaps they will never play again. I was desperate for a pro-recording of it with a clean sound. This one is still not a benchmark, especially due to the veiled highs, but I think they did a good job to recover it considering...
