It is ok, but the question is why? In my opinion it has only disadvantages to wait.

I don't think it was such a big emotional blow either. Of course sad and tragic, but it's not uncommon for band members (even much younger ones) to reach a point where they no longer want to or are unable to tour, and it's not something they would never have expected.

The song is called " "The Fifth Force Of Nature". Maybe they believe natural scientists typically look like that?

I don't think it's about aging. You mention “Some Kind of Monster” yourself. You can lose someone at any point in your life. Age isn't the essence of such an experience.

It doesn't make sense to me that Maiden would take a year off so that some members could (perhaps) tour solo. With Bruce in particular, I always get the impression that it bothers him more when he has no commitments for a few weeks. I believe he could and would definitely want to do both Maiden...

I wonder if one day it will be understandable why they waited so long to announce the remaining countries. It's simple: the longer the period in which tickets can be sold, the better. I also don't know of any other bands that announced tours in recent weeks that would have distracted attention...
