    Satellite 15 mix defect

Eh, not sure about that.  It's pretty subtle.  Even if they did hear it, what's the motive to leave it in there?  It's just weird.

Are you pleased with Maiden's direction?

At what points does the song change keys Jeff?

    Satellite 15 mix defect

Still, it sucks that a top-tier, bestselling record from one of the world's best bands has a noticable, if small, defect that could have easily been prevented.  And this with Harris at the helm.  I'll bet they didn't catch it until it was too late.  Again, doesn't bother me but it is kind of...

    The Talisman

I don't know about you, but a little context always helps me appreciate Maiden tunes more.

    Satellite 15 mix defect

It's definitely there.  As Ranko stated, it has been mentioned over in the commentary.  It's a very slight hiccup in one of the snare hits.  I notice it, but it doesn't kill the track for me I guess.

I see the disctinction.  Wiki does say "sold;" though again, there is no citation to back it up.

    Starblind

There are more powerful, faster, more blistering moments on the album than this tune contains, but after the record stops spinning, this one has the most lasting impact.  This is the one that makes you think.  This is the Hallowed Be Thy Name of this album, or even of this era of Maiden.

    When the Wild Wind Blows

The Man Who Would Be King THIS The first Maiden song I heard was The Trooper, and I couldn't believe how I could hear the horses galloping along with the riff.  Another fine example is the diving guitar (Adrian?) halfway through the Aces High chorus - you can just see the Spitfires banking.

    Next year's tour speculation thread

One of the most epic setlists ever would be 6 from TFF (doesn't really matter which), plus some "rare" classics as well as 2 or 3 staples.

According to Wikipedia, AMOLAD sold 1,000,000 worldwide week one.  Can't seem to find the citation though.

    The Talisman

I don't know about cringe-worthy - definitely a little simplistic, all monosyllabic words.

It's true that it's more a bragging rights thing than anything, since the ranking is heavily dependent on what was released around the same time.

I sure hope we don't have to wait another 4 years!...

I would be cool with a GH tour if we get some gems, like Deja Vu, Infinite Dreams, Children of the Damned, Still Life, Flash of the Blade, etc.

I'm a "religious nut" and Maiden is my favorite band.  It helps that Christian music is by and large terrible.

    The Final Frontier charts' thread

I don't think anyone's denying that Maiden isn't as popular in the States as they are in other countries.  I think the main issue is guys like johnglen seem to be simmering with contempt for America just because of its taste in music - remember, taste is subjective.  Do I wish Maiden were bigger...
