Come on guys!  What's with all the Powerslave love?  Aces High is in my top five Maiden tunes, but 2 Minutes always felt a little weak for a single to me.

Love that song, but nowhere near the intensity of something like "Falling off the Edge of the World."

Seriously who the heck voted Powerslave?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Pd9DQGZRs8 I found his solo material much more listenable than the Maiden stuff.  You're right, his voice kills my enjoyment of either of those records. I voted X Factor as I found the writing on Virtual XI to be more accessible.

4 albums almost get this award from me... Powerslave, SSOAS, SIT, and AMOLAD. In the end I had to go with AMOLAD because I feel it's the most consistent.

You had me going for a second there... lol! Well played Hopefully this isn't a bannable offense, but I skip Number of the Beast all the time, as well as Gangland.  Lyrics / music on both never did it for me, though I have to say NOTB almost won me over live this year.

Hate to be the buzzkiller here, but my first Maiden show was in San Bernardino last month, and I had a pretty poor experience with the other fans.  While I'm sure this isn't the norm for a Maiden fan, there were some kids (19-20 years old or so, if that) in front of us who snuck into the section...

Really? The Prophecy? Have to add The Educated Fool to my underrated tunes list.  Just heard for the first time in a long time and it's a darn good Bayley tune.

Giving it another listen now.  I've never cared for this track.  Trying to notice the elements you mention A nice, contemplative track.  Good follow-up to the exhausting SSOAS song.  I think the timing always threw me off (3/4 or  6/8? Still don't know the difference), but upon a close listen...
