No, in that case there is plenty of time to spend with their families. Writing and recording is still a band activity and meaning spending 2-3 months away from home. I believe that Steve isn't as driven to write as he used to be. As I said the best indicator about potential studio activity next...

You can reverse the neck pickup, you know (Greeny Les Paul had its neck pickup reversed by Peter Green's repair man, then turned back by Gary Moore and then reversed again in the 90's). The only way to really tell it is indeed the original bridge pickup is the Gibson stamp.

    News 18th Studio Album discussion

I think some of the band members gave an ultimatum before 2026 was booked and they compensated by taking 2027 off. I strongly believe that Iron Maiden as a touring entity past 2027 will be a 20-30 shows per year band. All likely stadiums. Bruce's touring plans for next year will reveal if they...

News Iron Maiden News, Links, and Interviews

TO be honest, I have a feeling that Steve isn't as driven as he used to be with Maiden. I don't know why. And some interviews since TBOS indicate that. I think something changed back then with the passing of some of his close friends.

And this is specifically a 1972 Gibson mini humbucker as it has Gibson stamping on it. They only did this in 1972.

Not really. And nobody never confirmed it. Adrian just said that it's a firebird pickup.

Also, I think it's important to note that the only bass apart from the main Precision that ever appeared on an Iron Maiden recording is the black Ibanez Roadstar bass. Used on about half of Piece Of Mind. There is also the red 70's precision that was used in B-rigs previously and as a backup in...

That bass became the checkerboard bass at some point. Not blue crackle. Also, it was faded Fiesta Red (Salmon Pink) at some point. Also, it's possible that Steve switched the neck on the bass while trying to find the perfect backup for his main bass.

Ok, I think I have worked out what the neck pickup in Adrian's LP Goldtop Deluxe is. Adrian has stated that the neck pickup is from a Firebird. It isn't. Here is a photo of an unmodded 1972 Les Paul Deluxe that was for sale in Germany: https://share.google/S8dPbped0eNO8GA8l What's important...

    RUN FOR YOUR LIVES 2026

They are not going to change a thing. But since they are playing Greece, Aces for Alexander swap would make the most sense. Another one I can see happening is Clairvoyant for The Evil That Men Do.

That's not a new lick. It's just getting out of trouble, as he screwed up the lick. Usually, when this happens with Maiden, he divebombs or plays some harmonics as Janick is doubling the riff. Here he needed to fill the gap.

Interview and rig rundown from the S/K tour. He is going to refret the Custom with a bigger fret wire. That's why it fell out of rotation.

    The Concert Thread

The gig was great. They are one of those bands that sound even better live than on the albums. They sound much heavier live. The sound in the venue was good. Maybe a bit heavy on the low end, but maybe that's just me prefering brighter sounding gigs. All four performed great. Bruno is taking no...

Bought Munich. The decision was made on the basis that if I don't go I will never see them live. Still regret R40 not coming to Europe.

Time for Maiden and Oasis to get in, just for Liam and Bruce to shit on the Rock Hall simoultaneously.

I think... Both. Bruce refuses to tune down with his solo band, despite songs like Darkside Of Aquarius being on his absolute limit, while Steve refuses to tune down with British Lion, despite the fact that the singer would benefit from it massively. We know that they are both stubborn as hell...

Half step might be ok, but full step changes the song too much, I agree. Still, for Maiden, due to their bright sound, I prefer standard tuning. And Bruce will die on that hill too.
