Hmm need to check them out then. The album i am most impressed by and would recommend to all maiden fans is Psycrence: A Frail deception. Just a brilliant album and the vocal sounds a bit like Bruce.

Song I still go back to Sign of the Cross Lord of the Flies Man on the Edge Judgement of Heaven Blood on the World's Hands I could never get used to Blaze and probably never will. To me, this album is still a whole lot better than Virtual XI

I would really like to know from other guitarists on this board that took the time to study and learn all the H solos (2 mins to midnight, Aces high, wicker man, wasted years, paschendale, different world etc) whether they feel the same way.

I felt the solos worked within the song but lacked structure. E.g with the Wicker Man solo there is a clear point A to point B to point C...opening melodic bit followed by a bluesy bit followed by a final flourish of fast notes. When you listen to that you instantly know this was not improvised...
