    Megadeth

This is pretty much exactly what I'm thinking. It's petty as fuck and makes Dave look like he still hasn't gotten over being kicked out of Metallica, but it could also be a tribute to his roots and showing respect to Metallica by covering one of their songs on his final album. Which I also think...

    NOW PLAYING

I just stumbled across this too! Who cares if it's AI, Stranger is fucking incredible, what a banger. I thought the vocal melodies of Wasted Years were pretty awkward though, the title track had me almost convinced it was a real band, but WY made it apparent it wasn't. Still great fun to listen to.

    Iron Maiden "S&M" Setlist

I would be massively disappointed if I went to a Maiden show and the setlist consisted of one song...

    If I could pull off a fully-shaved cut then I'd do the same, but I can't. I've a weird-shaped head :p

Songs you love that aren't too popular (one per album).

When they were originally written, do you mean, or in the album sleeve? Either way, I don't hear Bruce putting any emphasis on the word on the studio recording so I wouldn't read much into it.

I see a lot of people say that they have a negative opinion of this song because of the lyrics, but I'm genuinely curious as to why. To me there's nothing in them that's really shaming Charlotte for being a sex worker, nor is it glorifying or condoning it. Most of the song is just stating facts...

    DRUNK POSTING

Squiffs/drubl/whatever you wanna call it Still find it amazing that no matter how much us Maidenfriends have to drink we can still find our way to this thread. I'm not that drunk, but drunk enough. Edington doesn't get drunk often so it's pretty heard for me Heard? Hard. Amber Heard is a...

    KISS

RIP Ace. Can't call myself much of a big KISS fan, but thanks for influencing my influences. Also, Ace's appearance on the Tom Snyder show will never fail to make me laugh. Very sorry to hear about your mother, too.

You know what's way more awkward than I remember it being? Finding a decent barber shop. I've been going to the same place for over six years but he's had to close for renovations so now I need to find somewhere else <_<

rate all 17 Maiden albums best to worst

TBoS is my second favourite Maiden track, Hell on Earth just cracks my Top 10. I think the first halves of both albums are pretty equally consistent, and you can make a really strong "Side A" out of their best tracks: If Eternity Should Fail Stratego The Writing on the Wall The Red and the...

    Judas Priest

I'd hope that Andy and Richie played the trade-off solos between them, rather than Richie playing them all. Andy is no slouch but songs like Painkiller and One Shot At Glory have Richie playing both solos and I think they lose something by doing so.

    Rush

I don't disagree with them using the name, but is a little strange, though. It seems the reason Rush retired is because of Neil, so even if his family have given their blessing, it's not hard to wonder if Neil were still alive, would he really have wanted to return to Rush? And you can't even...

    Rush

I'm torn. I'm disappointed Rush are another band to say they're gonna call it quits and bow out gracefully, only to come back with a new tour later. Even though I sincerely doubt there's any greed or ulterior motive behind this and it is a genuine celebration of and urge to play Rush's music...

    Megadeth

It's certainly Megadeth. It's the first new 'deth song I've heard since 7h1rt33n and it's not making me feel like I've missed much.

    Judas Priest

What are you talking about? Ian's bass sounds perfect on that album, here, take a listen.

    Judas Priest

He is functional, reliable and does exactly what is required, no more, no less. But, yes, not very exciting.

    Judas Priest

I would imagine Ian Hill doesn't feel much stress during the songwriting stage, considering he hasn't written a song since 1974

    RUN FOR YOUR LIVES 2026

Smaller bands can also be completely forgotten about and audiences will quickly move on if they don't keep up a regular album release schedule.

    Guitar Pedals

Ooh, I've been eyeing those up, I have an old Digitech DropTune I'm wanting to replace as it gets pretty muddy and artificial-sounding. Let us know how the Boss sounds!
