RUN FOR YOUR LIVES WORLD TOUR (2025/2026)

Have you seen Maiden in Chorzów, Poland? That one was my first stadium gig ever.

Iron Maiden's management: What went wrong?

Exactly, just look at this year inductees. On the other hand, Rod's opinion and boycott are resonable but what he could offer the band instead of that?

Iron Maiden's management: What went wrong?

It would be a kind of hypocrisy to receive the award from a mainstream institution representing the corporate music industry, which has always ignored Iron Maiden. They probably do something on their own, they are the opposition to commercial, trendy-fueled entertainment.

RUN FOR YOUR LIVES WORLD TOUR (2025/2026)

I must say, just care more about the stage construction, the show design, than the setlist, which is nothing short of the greatest hits parade, maybe with one or two deeper cuts.

    18th Studio Album discussion

Yes, Nicko should take care of his other activities, but professional drumming in the studio—no, it's time to rest for good.

Iron Maiden's management: What went wrong?

According to Nicko McBrain, Rod said RnRHoF CEO "Fuck Off, Bollocks" and tell them not to nominate the band anymore. The SiT jacket, which they showed once last year, was brought back to the band from Cleveland's rock museum permanent exhibition. I think they will open something like an Iron...

And maybe they will use holograms as Eddie(s)?

    18th Studio Album discussion

So, I'd like to share my thoughts with you. I know most of you probably will hate that, but if the band wants to record their 18th album, they should do it with Simon Dawson behind the drum kit. Nicko is often out of tempo, slowing down; his time as a proper drummer is over. It's sad, so sad...

RUN FOR YOUR LIVES WORLD TOUR (2025/2026)

Rod recently talked about "a very big tour", so they might decide to add the third leg, the 2027 EU/UK tour. Download 2027 could be, but they probably announce a solo stadium gig: maybe in Cardiff as one show in Great Britain, who knows?

RUN FOR YOUR LIVES WORLD TOUR (2025/2026)

I try to guess what they plan for 2026. So, I think we can predict two situations: 1. Shows in both Americas + some concerts in Asia/Oceania and an additional European leg planned for 2027. 2025: 32 dates in Europe/UK 2026: 46 dates in both Americas and Asia/Oceania 2027: 25 dates in EU/UK 2...

Iron Maiden's management: What went wrong?

Words of wisdom, but MC always were into American audience taste, a way more than Maiden.

RUN FOR YOUR LIVES WORLD TOUR (2025/2026)

To me, apart from music, the thing is a kind of spectacular aspect of the show. They tell a lot about, hinted at in the interviews many times: Adrian, Bruce, Steve, Rod - better if all those words won't be empty promises. My expectations are great now.

Iron Maiden's management: What went wrong?

You're probably right. The documentary, which will be screened in cinemas and distributed on social media, should impact the American market. Kate Bush was inducted into the RnRHoF, thanks to one song on Netflix. I think the Iron Maiden movie might be the key to wider audiences in NA.

Iron Maiden's management: What went wrong?

The problem is IM musicians just don't care about fitting into any changes, and the management has nothing to do with their artistic directions. Steve mentioned once that artistic independence was the main condition of a management contract.

Iron Maiden's management: What went wrong?

They've made so many commercial albums and trend-shifting moves in the '90s that now might play the flute and call it "folk metal". :)

RUN FOR YOUR LIVES WORLD TOUR (2025/2026)

So many times IM members mentioned about mind-blowing show, so better if it becomes worth waiting for.

Iron Maiden's management: What went wrong?

Words of wisdom, I can agree. And about the NA tour last year, they were touring with Senjutsu and SiT, which aren't so popular among the audiences. I think 2026 will be similar to 2019, with bigger venues and more cities, because they'll be playing songs from the first nine studio albums...

Iron Maiden's management: What went wrong?

The next level for them is Metallica, but maybe "the price of 'more success' would have been unacceptable compromises of their values"? If they wanted to be more and more acceptable to casual listeners, they would change the band's approach a lot. Image, lyrics, sound, just the name of the band...

Iron Maiden's management: What went wrong?

So, you may say the same about KISS, Van Halen, Def Leppard and any other hard rock band (even ZZ Top). One or just some songs may sound a little harder/faster, but GENERALLY G'NR is more hard rock/rock and roll vibe than metal, which - apart from music, is dark, dangerous, and not familiar to...
