I still have the melodies from The Parchment, Hell On Earth, Time Machine, Senjutsu and Lost In A Lost World stuck in my head and I'm not listening to this as religiously as I did with Book Of Souls and that's a good thing. This is one of their most melodic albums ever.
The Parchment and Hell...
Meh, at the end of the day I guess it doesn't matter it's a personal annoyance.
I am digging some of these kids doing guitar covers. I'm trying to learn myself and this stuff is hard!
Am I the only one this pisses off? I get it if you want to do this kind of thing for yourself but to take someone's final work, edit it and post it on YouTube seems disrespectful to me. It's OK to be critical of the album I get that. This kind of thing though really gets under my skin. Am I...
I think The Parchment would be a perfect live song. Senjutsu because opener and WOTW with hopefully The Time Machine.
But The Parchment is the one I can see being the crowd favorite.
Agreed and Bruce makes this song so good. Sings it perfectly. It's a just a great solid tune that stays streamlined with great melodies until they go off at the end.
Now that it's all sunk in, this is a more cohesive album than BOS. I think it flows from one track to the next much better. I always felt BOS was top heavy with the best songs being on disc one and Empire being the only thing worthwhile in disc two. Senjutsu seems more even to me.
FINALLY the vinyl arrived. I swear that Fed Ex location 15 minutes away from me is the worst. Thing was sitting there since last Friday. Can't wait to spin it tonight.
Justice Of The Peace's lyrics read like they're written by a grumpy elderly man sitting on his porch with a can of Pabst like Eastwood in Gran Torino. Hell On Earth destroys that tune.
