These are songs that are just so bad they're the last thing you'd expect from a classic or quality band and you just can't wrap your head around the fact they sat in the studio, talked it over, and thought "This is a GOOD idea!"
Feel free to contribute to the wall of shame.
Rock 'N Roll...
Zeppelin is either hit or miss for me. You get several timeless classics, but you have to navigate through all the crap first. Presence and Zeppelin III are total clunkers too.
I don't think NOTB should be that low tbh. The follow-up Golden Era albums are definitely better, but it's still a classic album.
I'm not trying to get on a soapbox here, but people can get too concerned with eschewing the popular stuff and end up missing out on lot of great music.
I've always found using a pick cumbersome and it's one of the reasons I've never really learned how to play guitar. From a perspective of someone who plays violin family instruments, it just seemed to get in the way. So I pretty much prefer fingers for anything.
Here's a really kickass live version of Fortunes of War. The heaviness of the live guitars mentioned earlier in the thread is even more audible hear and with that riff Davey just brings the house down!
If only Blaze didn't forget his lines in the intro..... -____-
A lot of the music on SBS is better with Dio because it's more fitting to his voice; especially the title track. On the original studio album Ozzy really gets on my nerves.
