    The 2011 Tour Thread! (SPOILERS)

Oh well if they come to Greece i'll go but i'll definately won't travel to London to see them otherwise , like i was planning .

    No Prayer for the Dying

Only on the level of stupidity with insulting songs like bring your daughter, hooks in you, holy smoke e.t.c....

    Maiden's multi-generational fan base - what's the magic?

Maiden's reunion was 1000 times more succesfull than any other reunion in metal . Iron Maiden pretty much recaptured the popularity they had in their peak in the eighties in everything (album sales * when considering today's conditions* , ticket sales, grand memorable tours e.t.c) . No matter...

    On repetitive choruses

I agree with the thread starter .One of the many silly complains for post-reunion Maiden. I actually like the repeat choruses (hell the final repeat chorus of "The final frontier" with Smith's melodies is one of my favourite recent Maiden moments) .

What Iron Maiden song you heard first?

I am not sure."Piece of Mind" was definately the first IM album that i heard but as far as the first song....probably "The Trooper" .My best friend's older brother had bought POM .

    No Prayer for the Dying

Sorry, but i didn't consider Sadam to be Hitler and the alied forces in Iraq to be the equals to the alied forces in WWII

    No Prayer for the Dying

I like public enema number 1 , mostly for the music , but some of the social commentary in these 2 albums is dreadful. For example i loathe the lyrics of "afraid to shoot strangers" , such a right-wing pro-Bush song . Songs like "Holy Smoke " or "Weekend Warrior" have embarassing lyrics, that's...

If Maiden played Bruce's solo songs live...

Good for them. I am not denying the popularity of Bruce's solo albums (specifically AOB and TCW) among hardcore metal fans , i am saying that these albums didn't really help Bruce form a huge career as a solo act (and that's a common thing with most albums Roy z has been involved, from the...

If Maiden played Bruce's solo songs live...

What ?? Bruce's solo material has quite simplistic drumming, nothing compared to the drumming in Maiden's stuff. It would be a piece of cake for Nicko to play these songs. Anyway thankfully Iron Maiden will never play any of Bruce's material , which sounds like B'rate Maiden effords with more...

    Best Iron Maiden Epic.

"Hallowed be the name" is the best metal song ever . Some people might get tired of it (the same way that some people are tired of "Iron Man" for example) but seriously it is a landmark in heavy metal , IMO.

    No Prayer for the Dying

Holy smoke, bring your daughter , hooks in you are absolute trash. If you replace these 3 songs with songs similar to "fates warning" for example then NPFTD would have been a very mediocre Maiden album , but a proper-sounding Maiden album at least.

    No Prayer for the Dying

Nice observations and to add something, somewhat , similar NPFTD was released close to Judas Priest 's "Painkiller" and boy did i feel awful for Iron Maiden...

"Coming Home" announced as Iron Maiden's next single.

Unfortunately , this seems to be the case ....

    No Prayer for the Dying

I don't really hate NPFTD , i find it entertaining crap while FOTD is boring crap. NPFTD signalled the biggest fall from grace any band has ever experienced , it was worse than Load from Metallica in that regard. How Maiden went from "7th son" to NPFTD is a mystery to me. I still remember the...

    A 90's Flashback Tour Setlist?

Is there really a need to explain why playing mostly newer stuff is vastly different from doing a tour playing material from their nineties' albums ??
