I wonder when Adrian made up his mind. Was it on the 7th Son tour or was it after the band had sat down to write No Prayer. The fact that Hooks in You is on there suggests Adrian had at least sat down to write.
Pictures of Home - Deep Purple
Emerald - Thin Lizzy
I'm a big fan of both bands, and I know the band are too. I've always thought these two songs would be great for Maiden to do if they gave it a go.
Re: Discussion thread for Final Frontier/El Dorado single
I'm trying to avoid listening to El Dorado too much at the minute. I like listening to the album as a whole when I first get it, and in this case it could very well be a concept album. If I listen to El Dorado too much, it might kind of...
Re: Discussion thread for Final Frontier/El Dorado single
Satellite 15 (album 15), the Final Frontier? It all sounds really ominous to me.
When the Wild Wind blows is going to be awesome, I just know it. I just hope the lyrics don't basically say, "We've been Iron Maiden, thanks for listening"

We've already beaten United the last three times we played them. I'd say we need the win to keep our CL push on track though.
My prediction: 1-0 to Man Utd :(
I bought FFXIII on release, and have had mixed feelings so far. They have seriously streamlined the battle system, which is both good and bad. I won't go into great detail, just incase anyone wants to play it for themselves.
The first 2 or 3 hours or so are very poor though. The story is quite...

I voted for the AMOLAD collection, Longest Day and Brighter Than A Thousand Suns are simply staggering.
Not including the b-sides, there is hardly a bad song H has written.
Currently playing Football Manager 2010, and Modern Warfare 2.
I find that if I don't put in a good couple of hours at least twice a week, I can't stay competitive online.
Can't wait for FFXIII. It is released this coming tuesday, apparently.
Adrian Smith knows all the secret chords.
Adrian Smith taught God to play guitar.
Adrian Smith is the only guitarist on the planet who has never misplaced a plectrum.
Adrian Smith has to wear a bandana on stage to cover the luminescence his brain emits whilst playing solos. Yes, it shines...
Just thought I'd do my bit for the cause.
I quite kuje the TFF Eddie. Obviously there is no guarantee this will be the final artwork, but I like it better than 4 of the last 5 album covers (BNW being the exception).
Great post Private Benjamin Breeg! I intend to make a start of some ratings myself in the next couple of days, and I hope you wouldn't mind if I used the lettered grading system you used?
I always had the feeling listening to The Journeyman that DoD was going to be the final Maiden album. It kinda said to me "we've been Iron Maiden, thanks for listening".
The hints suggest that this will be the final one, which is a very upsetting thought indeed. Is it wrong of me to be deeply...
